BECOME A RESPECTED AIR FORCE IN THE REGION (South East Asia)

    Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) is part of Indonesian armed forces beside army and navy. Its responsible of airspace security which is 5.8 million km square are oceans including economic exclusive zone, and 2 million km square is mainland. So, TNI AU responsible toward airspace security of 7.8 million km square approximately. And inside those huge territory, there are about 280 million people live in Indonesia. Therefore, our chief of staff declare TNI AU core value is become a respected air force in the region with intention to protect Indonesian territory and people inside them.

The best pilot recruitment ever

    We have several ways for achieving our core value, firstly we try to get the best man power who will grow up TNI AU in the future. Start from recruitment, we try to find the best airman talent from the best high school every provinces, and also with transparency selection system. Furthermore, for active duty start from private until officer rank will undergo several education and exercise according their specialization and qualification. And for career path we do some selection according every members achievement during their duty and study, so merit system will lead the way.

    Armed forces have to support with dependable weaponry, likewise TNI AU should well equipped. Involvement domestic of strategic industries in the aerospace sector become primary role, because Indonesia should independent to provide their armed forces. In the other hand, collaboration with modern country where have modern defend technology  make TNI AU can afford to advance its aircraft technology and ensure combat readiness. TNI AU must have developing master plan with its posture and aircraft establishment, which flexible and adaptable.

    The last but not list is power projection, that we will deploy our force depend two big thinks that are according potential threat in region and potential disaster in Indonesia territory. Which is Indonesia is the biggest archipelago country in the world where located between two oceans and two continent, that condition need special treatment and strategic for  growing our TNI AU become more power full and respected. And one important thing is interoperability between air force and other services including staff coordination until communication between forces with an objective tof carrying out joint military operartions.

    It is long way to be a respected air force in a region, but we believe step by step TNI AU will achieve that. Tenacious all off air force members with guiding from visioner leader and support  by government become a crucial requirement. A big country also support with a big air force, that is will be called TNI AU.
