"Olah Yudha" in Indonesian SOS batch 102 - 2017

        Indonesian Air Force also have mandatory school for its captain like Squadron Officer School (SOS) in USAF. After graduating from SOS, I continued to study in Indonesia SOS directly, in the purpose to learn Indonesia Air Force Joint Air Operation and doctrine. There are some differences between the US and Indonesian SOS that I will try to describe in this paper. Beforehand, I would like to say thanks a lot for batch 102 Sekkau big families for kindness and friendliness during my time when joint the Indonesian SOS.

       Indonesian SOS identic with busy activities, start from wake up until return to bad. We began the daily activity after Subuh praying for Muslim and continued morning sport at 4.30 a.m. The ground school takes time from morning until afternoon, with several break time in each lesson. After finishing the ground school in afternoon, we continued the activity with afternoon sport or clean up school and dorm environment. And for the evening activity, all students did self-study inside personal room up to sleep.

    We learn some lesson in Indonesian SOS, and I will describe it generally. The student in Indonesian SOS learns much about office work order and military writings. The most important thing, we learned about our Joint Air Operation. Beside of that, we learned about all of the profession from each corps in Indonesian Air Force. At last but not least, we got some presentation from other departments which still have relation to Indonesian Air Force roles and duty.

     I would like to share some activities related to our closing education prosses in Indonesian SOS. The unique one is Wife Upgrading activity, where our wife got some debriefing from the wife of the senior officer in attention for improving knowledge our wife when accompanying the husband's duties. Not only our wife who got debriefing, but also the student officers got some presentation from senior officer like the high-rank officer, even from Chief of Armed Force, in attention to give some information about global condition, Air Force future planning, and expectation from captains who graduate from Indonesian SOS. And before we doing closing ceremonial, we have some tradition which we call with name Evening Introduction Task, wherein this moment all student officers will get a new task order after graduating from Indonesian SOS.

      Those all a little bit history about Indonesian SOS that full of activities in every day. We also got some lesson learned during our times in Indonesian SOS. And the last one, I describe some activities during closing education prosses.
